Privacy Policy

When you book a trip or contact us, we collect:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Details of your booking — the experience, date, time, boat, guest count and add-ons
• Anything you choose to write in a message, note or review
• How you heard about us, if you tell us

You do not need to create an account to book. We manage reservations by email rather than asking you to maintain a password.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form and are never sent to or stored on our servers.

If you agree at checkout to keep a card on file for a possible no-show fee or damage charge, Stripe stores the card and we keep only identifiers that let us charge it later — the card brand, its last four digits, and Stripe's references. We record the date you gave that permission.

Our servers record limited technical information — such as an identifier derived from your network address — to limit abuse of public forms. If you accept advertising cookies, Meta (Facebook) also receives information about your visit; see below.

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to function, such as keeping you signed in if you are a member of staff. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.

We also use the Meta Pixel to understand whether our advertising works. This is optional. It does not load at all unless you accept it, and declining leaves the site fully usable. Under some state privacy laws, sharing information with Meta for advertising may be considered a “sale” or “targeted advertising” — declining is your opt-out.

• To take, confirm and run your booking
• To contact you about a trip you have booked, including changes and safety matters
• To take payment, issue refunds and apply credits or gift cards
• To keep records we are required or reasonably need to keep
• To improve our service, and — only if you accept it — to measure our advertising

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Stripe, to process payments and refunds
• Supabase, which hosts our database, and Vercel, which hosts our website
• Our email provider, to send booking confirmations and messages
• Meta, only if you accepted advertising cookies
• Captains and boat partners involved in your trip, who receive only what they need to run it safely
• Anyone we are legally required to share it with

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, insurance and legal purposes. We keep customer records so we can serve you well if you come back. You can ask us to delete your information — see below.

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can ask us to stop sending you marketing at any time; we will still send messages about a trip you have booked, because we need those to run it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the UK/EU GDPR. We apply the choices described here to everyone regardless of location.

Our website and booking service are intended for adults. You must be 18 or older to make a booking. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. Minors are welcome on our trips when accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult, and where a guardian has given any consent we require.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls limiting staff to what their role requires, and a permanent record of significant changes. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on our website.
